Inspired by the music of great singer-songwriters and their iconic stage outfits, the new Lena Hoschek collection, which bears the melodious name “Jolene”, takes us into a world where country, blues, alternative, rock ‘n’ roll and folk set the tone in autumn/winter 23/24.

 

With “Jolene”, Lena Hoschek not only expresses her passion for music, she also dedicates the designs to the new bohemian and cowboy feeling that characterises the genres. The collection conveys the relaxed sex appeal and free spirit of artists such as Nikki Lane, Jenny Lewis, Sierra Ferrell, Lana Del Rey and Dan Auerbach – artists of today who still echo the great echoes of Dolly Parton and Wanda Jackson in their interpretations.

Tart check meets rock fringe details, denim and bandana prints give the collection an edge. Earthy flannel blouses and prairie-inspired shirt dresses follow in the footsteps of Brokeback Mountain. A deliberate homage to the strong symbolic power of the denim shirt, which embodies the wonderful love between two cowboys. Romantic boho looks that combine femininity and roughness also make a fitting appearance in the collection.

With its bold colour palette – from rich red tones to warm mocha and paisley in classic black and white – “Jolene” exudes a rebellious spirit of adventure and a romantic Wild West aesthetic at the same time. Flowing boho dresses are easy to style with a leather jacket and vintage accessories, while elaborate embroidery embellishes blouses and skirts, making the looks unmistakably eye-catching with a touch of luxury.
