The Scots
AW 24/25

Lena Hoschek’s fall/winter 2024/25 collection, “The Scots” carries the spirit of Scotland with a touch of punk. Inspired by the misty Highlands, it combines traditional Scottish down-to-earthness with historical romance.

Tribute to British Icons: Queen Elizabeth II, Vivienne Westwood & Mary Stuart

The dressmaker interweaves Scotland’s wild side with Gothic literature and adds a pinch of rebellion. With this collection, she pays tribute to arguably the most influential British women to have passed away in the last year – Queen Elizabeth II and Vivienne Westwood DBE, who was not only Lena’s teenage idol but also became her mentor in her early 20s when she worked in her studio in London.

Echoes of Mary Stuart’s influence echo in dark castles and figure-hugging corsets, black velvet trimmed with white lace, celebrating severe shapes and oversized puffed sleeves and playful ruffles.

“A checked dress with a narrow waist would not be possible without a nod to Vivienne Westwood.“
– Lena Hoschek –

“Tweed is the new denim” is the motto of this collection, which features a variety of designs made from the classic woven wool fabric. Warm whisky tones and all shades of woodlands paint a picture of timeless elegance and outdoor sophistication.

With an abundance of tartans, Hoschek reinvents true classics and creates pieces for eternity. The “check” runs through the collection and makes a bold statement that conveys a sense of Scottish tradition.

Exquisite craftsmanship, intricately crafted linings and the finest fabrics contribute to the unique value of every Lena Hoschek piece. The materials in the collection express her masterful flair for quality textiles – Harris Tweed, hand-woven Outer Hebridean wool known for its dense weave, natural dyes and water resistance; sumptuous velvets which add a touch of opulence, while knitwear made from the finest merino wool offers an extra dimension of coziness. Italian cotton flannels and Liberty prints in dark shades complete the extravagant designs.

With “The Scots”, Lena Hoschek takes a bow and celebrates her personal connection to Scotland and its people.
